Central/Southeast/Southwest Fresno Community Partners
Our Fresno Partners:
The Fresno Building Healthy Communities campaign is rooted in partnership. BHC has partnered with residents, youth, systems, and community-based organizations.
Residents:
During the BHC planning phase, we worked directly with residents from Central/Southeast/Southwest Fresno. Our residents are passionate and have a keen sense of what changes are needed in their neighborhoods to insure a healthy community.
Youth:
Youth leadership is critical to Fresno BHC's success. Young people in Fresno took charge during the planning phase and that has transitioned into the Fresno Youth Engagement Team. The Youth Engagement Team is a collection of youth-serving organizations who formed a network with youth at the forefront.
Systems:
Our systems partners include Fresno Unified School District, the Fresno Police Department, the City of Fresno, and the County of Fresno. System representatives are working alongside residents and youth to develop a sound community plan that supports sustainable change.
Community-based Organizations:
The community-based organizations in Fresno are diverse, representing many different groups and areas of the city. Collectively, community-based organizations have embraced BHC as a long-term strategy to improve Central/Southeast/Southwest Fresno.
