BHC Southwest and East Merced Group

The Building Healthy Communities Group of Southwest Merced / East Merced County is composed of local grantees, partners, and community members and aims to improve the health of Merced so that children are healthy, safe and ready to learn.  If you are from Merced and are new to the Building Healthy Communities (BHC) effort, this is a great place to start.

Merced County Community Communication Corps: MC4

MC4 (pronounced MC-quad) is a group of community members that believes democracy can thrive only when the people are informed. We create messages using all available media channels (print, online, broadcast, public speaking, etc.) and strive for clarity, accuracy, balance, fairness and comprehensiveness. Our motto is "Information of the people, for the people, by the people."

Marketing and Awareness Group

If you are looking for partners, sponsors, community members or just more helping hands - there is a good chance they are looking for you, too. How to effectively and economically get the word out about your organization is what this group is all about. We'll cover how to showcase your work, build logos and flyers, Web strategies - and anything else you're interested in. Feel free to jump in with anything. No issue too big or too small.

Video Production and Multimedia Group

From concept to final product, this group is for video production technology and creative minds to come together to produce high quality videos with no prior training needed. Get help, ask questions, and learn the basics of video production in order to take your message to the next level. Learn how to shoot, edit, upload and promote your video at little to no cost to you.

A Strategic Look at Social Media Group 

A Strategic Look at Social Media will focus on best practices, upcoming trends, and new technologies to help communicate your message effectively on the web. Learn how to best leverage sites like Facebook, Google, YoutTube, Twitter and CalConnect  to their full potential. We intend to include aspects of technology, social networking, communications strategy, writing and graphic arts in our discussions, links and documents. We welcome everyone to join and contribute.

The CalConnect Help and Improvement Group 

The CalConnect Help and Improvement Group is here to help you maximize your effectiveness using the site and provide assistance with any feature or section. We will post video step by step tutorials as well as help documentation which will always be available from this group's dockets. We encourage you to contact us if you have a recommendation to help improve your site, workflow, or experience. This group has an open membership, so feel free to join if you want to be keep plugged into new developments.
